Praytor Realty Super Stocks

3-27-10
The Praytor Realty
Super Stocks opened the season with a bang with the old track record being
broken 3 times! Jessie Reid turned the best time and is the new track record
holder for the rough and tumble division. The extended lap feature opened
the 2010 season for the Super Stocks and after multiple lead changes
Birmingham’s Paul Jean took home the win. While the action was hopping on
the track the Easter Bunny was handing out Easter candy for the kids from
Praytor Realty in the grandstands. MIS is closed for Easter weekend and will
be back in action in 2 weeks with round 1 of the Miller Lite Super Late
Model Series.
PRAYTOR REALTY TO
SPONSOR
SUPER STOCK
DIVISION AT MIS

Praytor Realty, the fastest name in real estate, will now be
part of the fastest track on the Gulf Coast, sponsoring
Mobile International Speedway’s Super Stock Division. The
Praytor Realty Super Stock Division has built a reputation
as the local version of the NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series. A mix of seasoned veterans competing against young
up and comers makes the Super Stocks a place for super
action. The Super Stocks have a rich history of promoting
young drivers to the height of stock car racing, Mobile’s
Cale Gale started his stock car racing career in the Super
Stocks and most recently Thomas Praytor, The Moose, cut his
stock car teeth in the class. Along with the guys looking to
make a name for themselves, the Super Stocks are also home
to veterans with more than a decade of experience at MIS.
Howard Langham and Shannon Jackson have swapped the
Championship back and forth over the last couple of years
with former champ Jimbo DeVitt still winning races. Also
nicknamed the Grumpy Old Man Division, the Grumpiest and one
of the oldest veterans in the series, Tommy Praytor still
makes a start or two every year. The mix of “veteran” versus
“young gun” makes the Super Stocks the home for wheel to
wheel, door handle to door handle, fender banging, smoke
flying action that makes Mobile International Speedway the
place for great racing. “In today’s tough economic times we
have to be frugal with our marketing dollar, while other
companies are cutting back we’re looking for areas to expand
the Praytor Realty brand. Race fans brand loyalty is well
documented and to be associated with Mobile International
Speedway is a tremendous opportunity for our company. Ida
Fields and her staff have done a terrific job of putting on
a great show for the fans on Saturday night.” Said Tommy
Praytor President of Praytor Realty Co., Inc.
“Demographically, race fans make up almost 90% of today’s
real estate market and we think the pairing of Praytor
Realty and Mobile International speedway will produce
results on and off the racetrack.” Mobile International
Speedway opens on Saturday March 20th with the
winged Sprint Cars and the Praytor Realty super stocks will
take to the high banks on March the 27th.
