Humanitarian Award
In Honor of Jamie’s tireless Efforts
and Involvement in the Community during her lifetime the Mobile Association
of Realtors created the Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award in 2008. The award
will be presented annually at the MAAR Installation Luncheon in November.
Each winner will receive $500 to contribute to the organization that
benefited from the recipient’s efforts.
2011 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award Winner
Larinda Gann Musgrove
Larinda Gann Musgrgove earned the 2011 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award for
her tireless volunteer effort in our community. Larinda serves on the
McKemie Place advisory council and has orchestrated many events and
improvements to the building, as well as being actively involved with the
YMCA College of Mentors program. Recently Larinda co-chaired the TLAR Love
fund, raising funds to help a family purchase a memorial marker for a local
realtor. A past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors, a regular
contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network. We at Praytor Realty are
honored to see Larinda receive the 2011 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award.

2010 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award Winner
Nancy Hughes
Nancy Hughes earned the 2010 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award for
volunteering with numerous community activities, McKemie Place, United Way,
American Red Cross, 15 Place, Junior League, Mobile Preschool for the
sensory impaired, Dumas Wesley Happy Time Music and Family Promise Cardboard
City.

2009 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award Winner
Barbara Higgins earned the 2009
Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award for over 30 years of community
involvement with groups that include Partners in Education, American
Heart Association, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Homes
of Grace, USA Childrens and Womens Hospital , Crittenton Youth Services
and Prudential’s Sunshine Kids.

2008 Jamie Praytor Humanitarian Award Winner
Fannie Beck Wilson

Jamie's son Tommy presented Fannie Beck with the award on Thursday November
13th and Jamie lost her battle with cancer the following day. Jamie was told
who had won the award earlier in the week. Jamie and Fannie Beck go way back
and she was happy one of her old friends won. Fannie Beck earned the award
for her years of hard work with Senior Citizens.
